  1. A bad day, like a bad season, or a bad meal, is the kind of thing one faces a bite at a time. The most important thing is to not make things worse, as that’s the only way any form of positive momentum can become possible. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
  2. Bad days, like nightmares tend to be unpredictable and haunt us with the false sense that things will forever stay the same, and that good times will become nothing but memories. You have to remember that just because you feel something doesn’t mean that the feeling is based on reality or truth. If nothing shakes you out of your rut let this be it: both good and bad moments come and go. And just as you might feel depressed when you reach a peak of happiness, so should you begin to cheer up when you find yourself at the bottom of a dark hole, as to reach rock bottom is also to reach a point in which the only way is up. By definition whatever comes next is something good, or at least not as bad or worse?
  3. Sometimes the difference between a bad day and a good one is not the weather on any series of events, but perspective. There is always a way things can get worse if you only look for it, just as there is always a way you can realize how much better things are if you only pay attention.
  4. Comedy. Watch comedy. If you find yourself dwelling in misery, try to find a way to laugh regardless of how silly. Things might not get better, but by laughing, they become less bad, even if for just a second. And that makes the difference in the world.
  5. Remember that as long as life is good, a bad day will end as quickly as it started, and hopefully, the following day will likely be much better. If you find yourself having an endless series of bad days on the other hand, what you have is not just a series of bad days, but for lack of a better word, a bad life. And you have to do something about it. Fix your life to fix your days.

It is all about knowledge and experience 😉
